Since I was given weight bearing status yesterday by my orthopedic doctor, I've been excited to try to stand up. My physical therapist came today, and he was just as excited for me to try it. He had a walker with him, so I tried it and succeeded! I still have a long way to go before I'd be ready to do any more, as standing for one minute was all I could do. That said, this was a huge step and a goal I can mark as accomplished.

ReplyDeleteYou won't remember me, but I knew you when you were just a wee lad. I was friends with your folks in HI at Trinity PCA. I remember you running around the church - a ball of energy.
I've been following things since your accident and have been praying for you (and your family). I can't even imagine. But watching this video made my day. You made it look effortless, even though I know it had to be grueling.
Know there's a lot of folks around the world (we're in GA now but about to be on the other side of the world) who really care about you and will continue to pray for you.
